Cake smash photography is so much fun for them because it’s essentially messy play, but with a delicious birthday cake.
For many babies this is the first time that they’ve tasted cake and it’s great fun to see how each baby reacts.
Some dive straight in, some tentatively lick off the icing before getting messy and others delicately prod the cake. What they all have in common is how much fun they have.
The style
the smash cake photography session is a unique and personalized experience. Each customer can choose his favorite theme and colors for the set. As a mother myself, I know how quickly a baby can lose his patient. I aim to have a relaxed photo shoot, spontaneous, and fun!
The birthday child will determine the pace and I will be there to document every single moment. With an eye for perfect in-between moments and unique perspectives, I will create portraits that are beautiful, genuine, and emotional. I use our expertise in artful lighting and editing to bring out the best in your portraits. I love getting to know each of our clients and creating one-of-a-kind art that you will treasure forever.
scheduling
It’s never too early to book! it’s always best to contact me as soon as possible for an appointment. I aim to provide the most relaxing and comfortable photography experience from start to finish.
Once your appointment has been booked, we will discuss the style and colors that you after. I will also advise you about how to prepare for your session.
I recommend booking the session according to the kid schedule, aiming to a period of time that he is usually the happiest.
please note, for this sessions only, a minimum of 7 days notice required in order to get the cake and props ready in time for the session. So sorry, no last-minute booking.
On-location
Smash cake portraits may be captured in the comfort of your home, or various outdoors locations that feature natural settings or the urban cityscape . I have lots of favorite locations, and i'm always happy to help you select the ideal setting for your shoot.
What should we wear?
Clothing is a key element for beautiful, timeless portraits.
As for the birthday kid I recommend something festive yet not expensive so you won't care to throw away if there would be some spots left. If you planning to join for some family photos I recommend simple, classic apparel. Neutrals, creams and soft pastels photograph beautifully. Coordinate your outfits with a palette of complementary colors for family portraits.
What should I bring?
Basically nothing! I got it all covered, I'll bring with me everything needed; the cake , props , backdrop, and lightning. You just have to bring your smile and have fun :) You may bring along any props of your own that are personal and meaningful for your kid portraits.

you don't even have to leave your house.
